All our staff are qualified or have experience in childcare. The staff qualifications and experience range from the skills of being a mum to NVQ level 1,2 & 3 in childcare, NNEB, degree in childcare and education. All our staff are carefully selected by interview then a practical interview, then their history & references are checked and a CRB is done to check the staff suitability. More then half of our staff team have been with us for over 3 years and some our still here from when we first opened in October 2005.
All staff go on regular first aid courses as this is important and staff go on many other useful courses such as: Child protection, first aid, equal opportunities, food hygiene, EYFS training

Claire Morrell – Nursery Director
I set up Little Monkeys in 2005 and have been working in Childcare for over 13 years. I strives upon making the nursery a fantastic environment for children and parents alike as well as creating a positive atmosphere for all staff to work in. I have created a unique nursery in the fact that it is a family run with four staff as part of the family here which is why that Little Monkeys Day Nursery keeps achieving high OFSTED reports and recommendations.
Its a real joy coming into work and meeting parents and new starters. I am also a proud mum of two who both attend the nursery.

Clare Jones – Manager/Nursery Nurse
I have worked for Little Monkeys Day Nursery since March 2007 and I have always wanted to work with children so I can help them to grow, learn new skills and develop. I love my job and I wouldn’t want to be in any other industry. I have a lovely family and love spending time with my niece and nephew.
I trained for level NVQ level 3 in a private boarding school then once qualified I went to work abroad as a children’s rep in charge in Tenerife for over 10 years for a major holiday company and which I have gained fantastic experience which I bring into the nursery.
Qualifications – NVQ 2 & 3 in Childcare & Education. First Aid. Food hygiene.EYFS Training.

Aimee Pritchard – Deputy Manager
I was one of the original members of staff when the nursery first opened back in 2005, I briefly left when I had my first baby and when the opportunity came to come back and work here I jumped at the chance.
Before I worked at Little Monkeys I worked at a well established nursery in Manchester where I’m originally from and have over eleven years experience in childcare.
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends and also I regularly attend Zumba which I really enjoy, its a great way to get in shape!
Qualifications – NVQ 2 and 3 in Childcare and Education. First aid, EYFS Training.

I have worked for another local nursery before arriving at Little Monkeys Day Nursery in September 2010. I am a mother of two who are in their twenty’s and a proud grandmother of one. I enjoy watching the children reach their full potential, growing in confidence and our happy at the nursery.
I feel a real sense of pride when children achieve goals set.

Sheila Foo – Nursery Nurse
I am fairly new to this nursery having spent 14 years at another day nursery in Wallasey and I have been really impressed with how energetic my fellow colleagues are which has a great impact on the children. I have also worked as a nanny in Japan, London & Devon and bring huge amount of experience to the Toddler Room.
I love teaching, playing and singing with the children and is a real pleasure to see them everyday.

I have been working at this day nursery in Wallasey since September 2012 and have had work experience at a local primary school before working here and have also worked while obtaining my college course at another day nursery on the Wirral.
I have always wanted to be a nursery nurse and now I am its very exciting and I am really enjoying my time here. When I’m not in work I love going out with friends and course.., shopping!

I have been working at Little Monkeys Day Nursery since it opened way back in 2005 and have peeled many a spud in that time I can tell you!
I am the auntie of Claire Morrell and was really excited when she made me chef and really enjoy coming up with new and exciting dishes for children to try and I insist on spotless kitchen.
I am also on hand should any of the rooms require support during busy times of the day and its great spending time with the children. I have three children of my own with the youngest st high school.

I am the owner of Little Monkeys Day Nursery which my daughter Claire set up and I am really proud of what she has achieved since we opened with all positive feedback she receives from parents. Like Claire I strive to make this a relaxed place to work and help create an exciting environment for children to attend. The staff who work here really get along with each other and its great my sister Jane also works here as this helps create a sense of family here.
I also have two other children both boys who have no grown up and also I am a proud nanny of Summer and as she attends the nursery I get to spend even more time with her.

I have worked at little monkeys for the last 4 Years, where I have gained lots of experience and enjoyed helping out in all the rooms. I recently have just had a baby girl called Eva and have just come back to work after my maternity leave to work in the Babyroom. On my return I plan to finish my NVQ level 3 in childcare.
